Basic principles community ecology, including species interactions, spatial and temporal patterns of biodiversity, and ecosystem functioning.  Analytical theory, statistical patterns, and experimental approaches will be emphasized.  Intended for students wanting a rigorous overview of ecological principles.  Prereq: At least one of the following courses: Bio 3501, 372, 381, 4170, 4193, EnSt 370 or permission of instructor.  Small Class.  Credit 3 units.
