This course will explore basic ecological models and principles. Examples and original research from a wide array of taxa and ecosystems will be examined. Format will include lecture, discussion and weekly small group quantitative exercises. Analytical examination of data and application of quantitative models will be a major component of this course.. Prerequisite: Biol 2970 or Biol 3051. Medium-size class. Credit 3 units.
